Birth to 8 months (or pre-crawling)
In this four-week consecutive group class, we will gather is a circle and learn the benefits of nurturing touch through researched backed massage techniques. Infant massage promotes positive touch, increases bonding, stimulate baby’s senses, and increases communication with baby and caregiver. Each class will focus on learning new techniques and repeating the techniques learned in previous classes. At the end of the series caregivers will have learned an entire massage sequence that includes legs/feet, gas relief, stomach, chest, arms/hands, face and back. Other topics that are introduced, discussed, and taught in the course include:
Infant behavioral states
Infant development including social/emotional, cognitive, motor and language development
Bonding and attachment
Introduction to baby signs
Understanding and responding to your baby’s cues
You will also get a chance to connect with other parents in the same phase of life as you and ask developmental questions to you instructor.
The instructor, Jenna, is an infant and early childhood mental health professor, developmental specialist and certified educator of infant massage. She has extensive experience providing infant massage education to parents in the community, children with special needs and hospital populations such as with premature infants. She has conducted over 5,000 developmental assessments and worked with over 1,000 parents in various setting from the neonatal intensive care unit, developmental clinics, homes, schools and more.
*Please note, you will be massaging your baby. Our instructor models on a doll.

Cost: $180 for 4 weekly 50-minute classes. Only 8 infant spots available.
Price is per one parent/caregiver and baby unit. Includes instruction, handouts, resources, & oil bottle.
